A bit of sparkle

Here are my nails for the week:

I initially did two coats, but realised that the colour changing effect works best after 3 coats. I completed the nails by adding pink and purple glitter to the tips of my nails.

I used Models Own nail polishes. Addicted, yeh that's me.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Black hearts

Nails from last week:

I used Barry M's Strawberry Ice Cream and a black nail art pen.

Last week was crazy - July is turning out to be a busy month. At the start of the month, I thought I really, really wanted something, a certain someone to be exact...but feelings change over time...overnight, in a day, in a week and even over many, many years...It was a bit hard to understand my emotions - but I wrote everything down and exactly how my feelings had changed made sense. And I felt so much clearer in my head. It got me thinking about courage and knowledge. Sometimes we are too afraid to do something even though it feels right, and sometimes we do things that we know are incorrect. Either way - we learn. Truth is - we don't know how things will turn out, no one does - but what we do know is ourselves.

I hope you're all having a lovely Sunday - it's sunny here in London (at last!)

Messy nails

Flowers on my nails

So in the spirit of 'spring'...or should I say the lack of it in England, I decided to do flowers on my nails:

They were very blotchy, but kind of turned out okay - I have named them 'abstract flowers.' I used a paintbrush dipped into different nail colours. It did take a lot of time and effort and I wonder if I'd do it again...would much rather have nail pens to do the detail as the paintbrush was a bit odd to use.

Have you tried any new nail art recently?

A little bit of blue

Nails for this week. A bit of blue and pink:

I cannot afford Nails Inc. this is a freebie I got with Glamour magazine a while back. Actually the 'pink' is more of a coral colour (more obvious in the last shot). The Models Own glitter nailpolish is awesome, but also quite expensive. It is really hard for me to not buy nail polish. I love collecting them - a very bad habit! I have decided to wait for S12 shades to hit the shelves until then I must restrain myself from spending more money on nail polish.

What is your favourite nail polish shade? Do you have seasonal favourites?

Nails

Finally got my hands on some crackling nail polish. I bought Barry M's range in black and pink. This was the first time I used it:

What do you think of it? First I thought it looks absolutely messy, but I decided I liked the effect when I'd finished doing all my nails and used a top coat of course, which gave it a nice shine. (These images are without the top coat - I would definitely always use a top coat with these since the crackle effect is without any shine as such).

These are the two colours I used:
